Lower Jubba (SDN) Reports from Lower Jubba say Kenyan forces are responsible for an attack on civilians in the town of Taabta that resulted in multiple injuries and deaths.
An unconfirmed number of children died in the attack in Taabta according to area residents who were left shocked and dismayed at the turn of events. The families of the deceased children were understandably upset about the deaths and commented that they deeply regret the pain their children endured.
Kenyan defense forces did not immediately comment on the attack although they have been in the region conducting similar operations targeting al-Shabaab militants and leaders who are known to be in the Jubba regions.
