Ibrahim Hassan Abdi (Ibrahim Baajun) the Minister of Information of the Jubba Interim Administration spoke to the BBC Somali Service and announced that the time period for when the JIA hands over control of the Seaport and Airport of Kismaayo to the Federal government has ended.
Ibrahim Baajuun said that this is not possible, which he attributed to the government’s slow pace of the executive agreement signed in Addis Ababa so it’s not obligatory upon them to divert the Seaport and Airport.
Minister of Information Management Juba continued with underlined that the Convention is not a religious article and if they Somali government is incapable to act upon it, neither will we.
The Addis Ababa agreement between the Federal government of Somalia and the Jubba Interim Administration involved the signing of many articles including diverting the financial budget of JIA to the Federal government.
