Hargeisa (SDN) -Somaliland’s Vice President Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail (Sayli’i) cut the ribbon at the launch of a water development project in Hargeisa. The program includes the commission of two new water management machines recently purchased by the water department.
The Vice President toured the newly renovated space alongside the Ministers for Treasury and Sport where Ibraahim Siyaad Yoonis an official with the water department explained how the program will be implemented. He also highlighted the fact that the department is proud to have purchased the new equipment with no external financial support. The total cost of the machinery is estimated to be 120,000 USD in addition to the cost of constructing three new offices for the department.
The Treasury Minister Abdiaziz Mahamed Samaale praised the department and its staff for the strides they have made towards improving water provision, safety and distribution in the city of Hargeisa.
