Hunaitarian pause extended for two more days in Gaza

Gaza November 27, 2023 (QJ) -Qatar has announced that an agreement has been reached to extend the humanitarian pause in the Israeli-Gaza conflict.

A spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majed Al-Ansari, stated that a prolonged two-day ceasefire had been agreed upon after extensive negotiations.

This announcement followed President Joe Biden’s conversation with the Qatari Prime Minister and the Israeli Prime Minister.

Egypt had previously indicated ongoing efforts for a possible extension of the four-day ceasefire, with Qatar mediating, and engaged in discussions regarding the extension.

Meanwhile, The EU expressed its support for the extension of the ceasefire, emphasizing the importance of halting the violence and seeking a political solution.
