Bossaso (QJ) – The Speaker of Puntland’s Regional State Assembly, Abdulrazak Ahmed Said, accompanied by MPs, Ministers, and the El-dahir-Erigavo Road Construction Committee, officially received asphalt material from the United Arab Emirates for the construction of the road.
Abdulrazak noted that the ship carrying the material docked at the Bossaso Port at a critical time of need. He urged the road construction committee to expedite the road project to ensure its completion within a short timeframe.
“Every step toward development requires perseverance and patience. The construction of this road is a shared aspiration for the people of Puntland, and nothing can prevent us from completing it within a short time,” said the Speaker.
He emphasized the importance of collective participation in completing this vital project, which is crucial for connecting Puntland’s internal and external regions. As a government, he stated that they are committed to accelerating the construction work on the El-dahir-Erigavo road.
“Progress cannot happen without long-term vision and consistent effort. Puntland is determined to complete this road, and it is a duty for all of us,” added Abdulrazak Ahmed Said.
The Puntland administration stated that it is simultaneously pursuing the fight against ISIS militants in the Bari region’s mountainous areas and advancing public service projects. Officials stressed the need for unity in tackling these overlapping challenges.
