Saudi Monarchy confirms start of Ramadan 2024

Riyadh March 10, 2024 (QJ) -The Saudi Arabian authorities have confirmed that Monday will be the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan, following the sighting of the moon in some cities in Saudi Arabia.

The committee of religious scholars affiliated with the Saudi Arabian monarchy in charge of confirming the start of Ramadan announced that Monday will be the first day of fasting, with the Taraweeh prayers starting tonight.

Some countries around the world will also be observing Ramadan starting tomorrow, while others are still awaiting confirmation that Monday will indeed be the first day of Ramadan.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments of Somalia has not yet provided an official announcement regarding the commencement of Ramadan fasting, and it is expected that the ministry will soon declare Monday as the beginning of Ramadan.
