Somalia trains newly appointed Diplomats

Mogadishu March 09, 2024 (QJ) -The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, today attended the conclusion of a three-week diplomatic training session for ten newly appointed Ambassadors recently approved by the Cabinet of the Federal Government of Somalia.

Prime Minister Barre highlighted the critical need for establishing connections, building networks, and championing Somalia’s reputation and interests on the global stage in alignment with our foreign policy goal of promoting “Somalia in peace with itself and peace with the rest of the world”.

The Prime Minister urged the new ambassadors to utilize their expertise to significantly change Somalia’s political landscape while fostering strong political alliances for the country.

Prime Minister Hassan Abdi Barre, who handed certificates to the new ambassadors, praised the Diplomatic Training and Research Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia for its role in enhancing the capacity building of Somali diplomats.
