Hargeisa, Oct 27, 2013 (SDN) –Somaliland president Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo has on today met with the organizing committee of the ruling party’s third upcoming third convention which is planned to start 25 December this year. President Silanyo has stated during his meeting with KULMIYE organizing committee at the presidency that his Kulmiye led government made tangible progress in the development of the country for the last three years of his leadership. The meeting was also attended by Vice-president Zaylici, chairman of Kulmiye party Muse Bihi Abdi, cabinet minister and the 27 member organizing committee of the party’s third convention.
On Thursday night the ruling party leadership has announced the names of 27 member organizing committee which is tasked with preparation and selection of delegate for the convention.
The biggest item on ruling party’s upcoming convention in December is the election of a new Central Committee which will runs the party until the next convention and which also will select the politburo which in turn will choose the leader of the party.
