Dubai, Aug 05, 2013 (SDN) -Korean vessel rescued eleven men Sunday after their commercial boat carrying 1450 cattle and 1300 camels capsized in the territorial waters between Somaliland and Yemen on Friday. Korean vessel personnel spotted the capsized boat with eleven people in the water and rescued the crew according to the owner of the boat. The owner of the boat who is based in Dubai has also confirmed to us that eleven member of the crew were saved but the 1450 cattle and 1300 camels on board have died. The crew was mainly Somalis and foreign nationals. Somaliland’s livestock remains a popular export to the Arab world, particularly for the upcoming Eid celebrations to mark the end of Ramadan.
