Mogadishu (SDN)-The leader of Al Shabaab in the Banaadir region, Sheikh Maxamed Xasan Cumar (Abuu Cabdiraxman) has claimed that the explosion orchestrated by Al Shabaab at the national theatre was facilitated by members of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia.
Abuu Cabdiraxman refrained from directly naming those he claimed facilitated the act, however according to his statements Al-Shabaab would continue the campaign of bombings against members of the transitional government and military officials.
The President of Somalia, Sheekh Shariif Sheekh Axmed held a press conference in Mogadishu where he blamed the Transitional Federal Government’s Ministry of Communications. He stated that their failure to inform the police and peacekeeping authorities of the events taking place at the theatre allowed the bombing to occur since the authorities were unprepared to take the necessary actions and precautions to maintain peace and order.
The Minister of Communications of the TFG CabdiQaadir Xuseen Jahween responded to journalists regarding the statements made by President Shariif where he took the opportunity to vehemently deny any responsibility or wrongdoing on the part of the Ministry of Communications in regards to the bombing.
The Prime Minister of the TFG Cabdiwali Maxamed Cali Gaas also held a press conference in Mogadishu yesterday where he stressed that there is an ongoing investigation into the incident. He stated that the results of the investigation would be presented to the public and that those responsible for the bombing would be identified.
Somalia had no functioning Government after the civil war in 1991,and more recently the country was devastated by Famine which thousands according to the UN.
