Gaza (QJ) – Tens of thousands of Palestinians displaced from Gaza are crossing the so-called Netzarim Corridor, returning to their homes in the northern part of the Strip for the first time since the start of Israel’s war aimed at imposing a blockade.
The Israeli military stated that Palestinians would be allowed to walk along Al-Rashid Road, beginning from Salah Al-Din Road, where they could then use vehicles.
This development follows Qatar’s announcement that Hamas has agreed to release an Israeli woman, Arbel Yehud, along with two others, on Friday. Qatar also provided information on the conditions for the first phase of prisoner releases under the ceasefire agreement.
The war in Gaza has killed at least 47,306 Palestinians and injured 111,483 since October 7, 2023. At least 1,139 people have been killed in Israel during Hamas-led attacks on that day, with over 200 people taken hostage.
