Donald Trump’s UN nominee supports Israel’s claim to the occupied West Bank

WASHINGTON (QJ) – Donald Trump’s appointment of Elise Stefanik as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations reflects her strong alignment with Israel’s claim over the occupied West Bank.

During her confirmation hearing, Stefanik confirmed her support for Trump’s “America First” policy and pledged to investigate U.S. contributions to the United Nations, counteract China’s influence, and strengthen support for Israel.

She endorsed the far-right view that Israel has a biblical right to the West Bank but avoided directly addressing Palestinian self-determination. Instead, she criticized Palestinian leadership and emphasized the importance of human rights for the Palestinian people.
