House Democrats call to halt arms sells to Israel

WASHINGTON (QJ) -Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi has joined Democratic calls to halt the arms sale that the United States provides to Israel, citing concerns over recent actions targeting humanitarian workers and the deteriorating humanitarian situation.
In a letter addressed to President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Pelosi and other Democratic leaders expressed their “shared outrage” and condemned Israel’s airstrike that killed seven humanitarian workers.
The letter highlights the latest efforts by the Biden administration to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza. However, it raises concerns about the inadequate response to the needs of civilians in the area.
Senator Bernie Sanders has also called for the cessation of military aid.
