Qatar to feed 46 thousand Somali families

Kismaayo January 27, 2023 (QJ) – The Chairman of Somalia’s National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Maxamuud Macalin, along with officials from Qatar Charity and the Qatar Development Fund, has arrived in the city of Kismayo, the interim capital of Jubaland.

The delegation was welcomed at the Kismayo airport by the Minister of Planning, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, and the Minister of Relief and Disaster Management, Ahmed Hassan Cumar, of the Jubaland government. Together, they will officially launch a food aid project that will benefit 46,000 families across the country, which is financed by Qatar.

The Chairman, Maxamuud Macalin, and the officials from Qatar Charity and the Qatar Development Fund will also meet with the President of Jubaland, Ahmed Maxamed Islaam Ahmed Madoobe.
