Hargeisa, Oct 13, 2013 (SDN) -A ministerial level delegation from Somali Regional Administration of Ethiopia (Zone5) has on yesterday arrived in the country on an official visit. The delegation led by the chairman of People’s Democratic Party of Somali Regional Administration of Ethiopia (Zone5) Ahmed Mohamed Shugri has received a rousing reception from Somaliland government. Somaliland’s minister of information and national guidance Abdilahi Mohamed Dahir “Cukuse” said a lunch function held at Mansoor hotel that Somaliland and Ethiopia share cordial relations which needs to be enhanced. “The relationship between Ethiopia and Somaliland goes back to thousands of years and this relationship must be maintained because his is a way forward for keeping and sustaining the stability and security of the Horn of Africa”, Cukuse said.
Ahmed Mohamed Shugri the chairman of the people’s Democratic Party of Ethiopia thanked Somaliland government for the warm reception they received upon their arrival.
The delegation from the Somali administration is set to hold talks with Somaliland government officials on how to increase bilateral and trade relations between the two neighboring countries and also to enhance existing cooperation in the field’s security, economy and education.
The chairman of the people’s Democratic Party Somali region of Ethiopia Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Shugri was accompanied by the Mr. Abdirizaq Botaan advisor to the regional President of Somali region of Ethiopia, Mr. Abdirizaq Ali Bashe the minister of livestock and Mr. Mohamed Farah also a minister in the Somali region of Ethiopia.
