Somaliland National Television is voted the most unpleasant programme wise among Somali speaking channels

It is observed that over 90 % of Somali-land public both at home and overseas recognized our national TV as the worst channel programme wise among Somali speaking televisions in forms of aspects. The channel lacks any programme that worth watching compare to other Somali speaking channels. It is unfortunate that our live stock, which we export over four million heads annually to overseas which we capture a return revenue estimated  US $ over four hundred millions of dollars only allocated one third of our national TV budget. Nothing is more depressing than the illogical. Only the yearly annual Seattle rent is almost equivalent to the said ministry. It is un-doubtful that, the government scored successive achievements,, however, the image our national TV has drained the said achievements in of view worsening image.

All the benefit that we return from our national TV is propaganda against the opposition, which is unethical in all forms of standards. Instead the television engaged broadcasting programmes which is beneficial to the society like education programmed for our youth, agriculture programmed to benefited by our farmers, fishing programmes to be benefited by our fishermen, livestock programmes to be benefited by our livestock herders, the channels is busy broadcasting programmes least value to the society.Apart of the worthless programmes broadcasting from the channels the same is recognized by 95 % of the society is most corrupt institution in Somali-land. The question is why the country’s leadership is silent about this regrettable circumstance. I hope, the minister of information will intervene the situation in an effort doing the reformation seen as an appropriate.

Cost-effectiveness analysis is a form of economic analysis that compares the relative costs and outcomes (effects) of two or more courses of action. Cost-effectiveness analysis is distinct from costs benefit analysis, which assigns a monetary value to the measure of effect. Cost-effectiveness analyses are often visualized on a cost-effectiveness plane.

Cost Effectiveness Analysis is a type of economic evaluation that examines both the costs and health outcomes of alternative intervention strategies Cost Effectiveness Analysis compares the cost of an intervention to its effectiveness as measured in natural health outcomes Cost Effectiveness Analysis results are presented in a cost-effectiveness ratio, which expresses cost per health Cost Effectiveness Analysis is generally used to either compare alternative programs with a common health outcome, or assess the consequences of expanding an existing program.

Cost Effectiveness Analysis is a tool for healthcare decision making, primarily to avoid controversy regarding valuation of health-related outcomes in dollars. Cost Effectiveness Analysis was initially applied in the clinical arena but has recently been used to evaluate health policies, programs, and interventions. Decision makers are often faced with the challenges of resource allocation. Resources are scarce; therefore, they must be allocated judiciously. Cost Effectiveness Analysis s used to identify the most cost-effective strategies from a set of options that have similar results. To compare programs and better allocate resources, you could present results of both programs using a common outcome measure (e.g. cost per life-year gained). Therefore if output is lesser than input, then the business is recognized as lose and hence our national TV failed to gain the purpose established for. Cost-benefit analysis is a logical way of making decisions based upon the probable outcomes of various courses of action.

Many people have been concerned about the effects of television. Television has become an important influence in our lives. If used wisely, television has many benefits especially for educational function. The educational benefits of television are to educate the public through educational and entertaining programs, increase the intelligence development of children, and can be used as an educational tool to everyone in the world.Through those programs, people can learn many things about the society. Children also can develop their knowledge and can learn many things. It can be a very useful and effective learning tool. Another benefit of television is that it can increase the intelligence development of children. There have been many studies proved that television may increase the intelligence development. A study by the University of Texas in Austin shows that children who watched educational programs can get higher score on test than those who watch general entertainment programs. That study states that it happens because they use television intelligently. Moreover, television can be used as a great educational tool to everyone in the world.

Educational television helps people to learn in any places. It can send the information everywhere, including students who live in countryside, so they can have the same information and education as the students in the city. Television has been a part of our lives, not only it gives us entertainment but it also gives us information like news, the current events, lifestyle updates, science & technology… and there’s a lot to mention. But with all of that it has given us how do we utilize them as a part of our life.Television is also an educational tool.  It teaches people what is going on in everyday life.  It allows people to know what is going on in the world, locally, nationally and internationally, it provides updates on current events and more.  I have found that television helps teachers to teach because they may ask, “What is something that is going on in the world.”  One way to know is by watching television.  You can also refer to newspapers and the internet to answer the question.  Television has the history channel, discovery channel, current tv channel, A& E channel, weather channel, and many other channels that are used to educate people on what is going on and what has happened.  It is amazing how television can recreate something or an event just so people can see how something happened.    Televisions are an impressive tool that is used in classroom for academic purposes, for numerous subject areas.  There are certain television programs that teachers use to assist them in teaching a particular lesson.

Agriculture and television are two different things that can be combined in many ways. Television has been utilized to further intensify agricultural development countries. This study attempts to discover the credibility of television when disseminating agricultural information to Malaysian farmers. a huge  number of farmers would have benefited had our national television broadcasters agriculture programme. It was found that farmers view television as credible source for disseminating clear and understandable agricultural information in developed countries. In addition, it was considered credible due to its ability to provide up-to-date, unbiased and factual agricultural information. However, television is seen as less credible in terms of providing information at the right time, and is unable to provide all the necessary information.A number of factors contribute towards developing the credibility of television., for instance, highlighted a number of crucial aspects for creating high credibility, and these can certainly be applied to agricultural television programming. First, the programmes aired are easy to understand. Simple and effective presentation can ease the process of receiving the information, while avoiding scientific words and jargon are expected to assist viewers. In addition, experts and professionals must be incorporated into the programmes, since they are able to minimize the risk of pitfalls which could undermine the programme.

Certainly, the aim of such programmes is to disseminate and share information, and thus educate the community – particularly farmers – in relation to agriculture. Agricultural productivity can be doubtlessly augmented by relevant, reliable and useful information and knowledge. Indeed, information and knowledge are crucial for farmers, who need both for their intellectual development.Cooperating on fisheries is another way of encouraging sustainable development and reducing poverty in developing countries.More than 150 million poor people in the world depend on fisheries for their livelihood – fishing, unloading, processing and distribution, building and maintaining fishing boats.Fisheries are also central to food security and health in many developing countries, with fish providing on average 19% of animal protein intake – over 25% in many of the poorest countries. Fisheries provide an important source of foreign exchange, through trade and fisheries agreements, and international trade in fish is booming. in conclusion, the government leadership must intervene so that somaliland public gains the benefits established for our nation TV, as what observe nowadays is a payroll for several hundred persons and not more than that.
