Hargeisa, Oct 13, 2013 (SDN) –Fast making its mark on the country’s radio landscape, Radio Hargeisa, the country’s national radio station, has attracted a stellar line-up of exciting additional presenters to its studios. The station, announced on Today that two new veteran presenters Ahmed Hassan Cawke and Abdisalam Hereri will be added to the schedule of the radio complementing the current vibrant line-up.
Hereri, Cawke both former BBC Somali Service and Universal TV presenters will strengthen Radio Hargeisa’s current talented roster.
The introduction of Cawke and Herer’s exciting voices to the radio landscape will re-introduce some beloved and familiar names to Radio Hargeisa listeners and also Cawke and Hereri will add their veteran savvy and warm charm to the station.
Somaliland’s minister of information Abdilahi Cukuse who maintains close friendship with both Cawke and Hereri took the decision to add the two familiar presenters to the radio in order to draw listeners to the radio.
Veteran radio legend, Ahmed Hassan Cawke who captured the hearts of Somali-speaking listeners around the world and who will be remembered for coining many familiar catchphrases will add a compassionate ear and warmth of heart to the Radio Hargeisa programmes.
Listeners of Radio Hargeisa will be excited with this new line-up and we look forward to the extra dynamics that these presenters will add to the mix and, of course to the response of loyal and ever-increasing listenership.
Similarly, minister Cukuse believes that by introducing these extraordinary additional talent to the station will offer even more uplifting and inspirational radio content to the people of Somaliland.
