Somaliland’s Finance Minister Approved as a Kulmiye Executive Committee Member

Hargeisa, 28 Feb 2014 (SDN) –Somaliland’s ruling party Kulmiye has announced Thursday the official approval of Finance Minister Abdiaziz Mohamed Samale as a party executive committee member.

A statement signed by the chairman of Kulmiye, Muse Bihi Abdi said that the inclusion of country’s Finance Minister Abdiaziz Mohamed Samale to the party executive committee will take effect from the 26th of February 2014.

Minister Samale’s membership of the ruling party executive committee came after a ten point recommendation issued by the ruling party’s conciliating committee on Saturday which will serve a lasting solution for the wrangles among top party echelon which stalled the party’s third convention.

According to the ten point recommendation, the party’s current Chairman Muse Bihi Abdi, the four deputies and the secretary general will keep their post and their position won’t be eligible for contention during the party’s convention.

Virtually, the inclusion of Finance Minister as a party executive committee member will maintain the unity of the party and for the holding of the party’s third general convention in due time.
