Change is the law of life and those who ignores the past or present are certain to miss the future. Deriving from this factor, let us conduct affair evaluation as which is more important making further improvement for the lives of our people which is already made considerable enhancement strides in many human development domains throughout the country or conducting presidential election or conducting fresh election at present is similar according my opinion distributing or delaying the various progresses in place throughout the country. The interest of the politicians is one thing and the interest of public is another. In the past, this government has made a set of plans that facilitated rapid growth in all aspects of social development such as the Infrastructure, education, health, water resources etc. The most fundamental measurement used to evaluate government success is to see is level of the popularity for any government from its public. When two opposite points of view are expressed with equal intensity, the truth does not necessarily lie exactly halfway between them. It is true one side is wrong. The side that oppose presidential tour that covered almost 1500 kilometres are riding the wrong horse, since that are against extending rally round their people that will seek their voting while casting voting. Most of our opposition figures conducts press release in five star hotels, but they rarely look back the people who voted for them in the past.
That means they consider their people simply a voting tool. These politicians lack the reality the days whereby people are misinformed about the critical issues of their country are not in excess any more. To win the people, always serve their interest before your interest and our opposition elements should know that their opinion is not always the reality on the ground. An English expression recites all books are divisible into two classes: the books of one hour and the books of all times. Our teachers during school days knew every one of the students, their secrets, their grades, their home situations and all the students also knew the teachers. It was like teachers were people who finally were the most popular at school. Likewise, the majority of the public is the factor who determines whom to believe either the government or opposition elements. Somaliland public fully acknowledge the attributes of each and every politician from Somaliland whether from the government and the opposition and they know, the one his message is trustful even or pets at home knows the closes person that care, let alone human.
Now we have two options in the table namely to look the interest of the public and the interest of the politicians. In the event we have two scenarios to decide on them, the one suits the public interest to prefer the public interest. Taken the public interest into account, we put forward extending the term of this government to more years so that, the complete goals set in advance by this government which is already made great strides be accomplished without interruption. Being popular means that you must be treating you people with respect and you must be showing kindness towards them. This is the vision and the mission of this government. In conclusion, the bridge that connects the politicians is to eyewitness the living condition of their people which is not yet mature from their end. At present in the event you inquire about anyone from the public whether to conduct fresh election or the mandate of the government be extended, the overwhelm majority will vote for extension even though the recommendation of extension falls under threshold of our national commission (NEC)
