Somaliland’s House of Representatives Approve Nominated Cabinet Ministers

Hargeisa, Aug.31, 2013 (SDN)-Somaliland’s House of Representatives on today confirmed the 9 nominees introduced by President Ahmed Silanyo for different ministries. Each of the nominees presented their working curriculums to the House of Representatives. The nominees were given confidences votes and each of them received more than 45 positive votes in a quorum of 51 MPs during the voting process.

Mohamed Bihi Yomis who was introduced for the ministry of Foreign Affairs received the highest votes where 51 parliament members gave 50 positive votes for him.

Adam Ahmed Warsame nominee for the ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Ahmed Abdikarim nominee for the ministry of Rehabilitation and Mohamed Muse Abees nominee for presidency state minister received 48 votes, Abullahi Mohamed Dahir Cukuse nominee for the ministry of Information received 45 votes, Mohamed Jama Abgaal nominee for the ministry of communication received 49 votes, Bashir Abdi Harir nominee for the deputy minister at the ministry of commerce received 47 votes and Abdi Dahir Amud nominee for the deputy minister at the ministry of defense received 46 votes, and were approved by the Afghan House of Representatives.
